So, I was shccked when I got to Food Lion to realize I didn't have my phone with me. I almost always remember to take it with me, and thought well maybe I left it in the car or something..no phone, once I got back to the car and looked. I was like Uh Oh, So, my plan had been to get cheap gas with my app at another station but of course I didn't have it, nor could I look up my Ibotta list in the store..I hope they can get my purchases from my store loyalty card..since they did not pick up any phone signal..Anyway, when I got home I didn't see the phone at first and I was mildly freaking out..then I realized I had covered it with a notebook..no wonder I didn't see it when I left. Do you ever forget your phone when you go out?

Yes, I just made a payment on it too..so I would have been doubly mad if I had lost it.

@TiarasOceanView Oh bummer! Can you get one of those government free phones with the free minutes? Would you be eligible? The phones for that program are probably flip phones though or something not very useful.

@snowy22315 Yes and I had just got my new one for the year. It is a cheap one but it was good. So I had to spend again so mad.

Well we got along for years without them, but they certainly feel like our right arm these days.

@Janet357 Oh of course..I didn't have my first cellphone until I was about 35. I went a couple of years without a cellphone as well. I did have a home phone though.

I hope Ibotta can get the purchases from your store loyalty card. However, it's a receipt you want just log into your food lion account and you can retrieve the receipt from there. I am not sure if you can print it or not.

I have the receipt..it is a pain in the neck to send it into them though. They generally automatically pick my purchases from my card...but not sure if they use the signal from the phone to notice I am there. They probably don't need it.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I doubt they do, but you never know for sure.

@snowy22315 I hope they don't need it, I wouldn't see why they'd need the signal from your phone to make sure you were there.
I haven't used ibotta in awhile.

I did once on my way to the gym (30+ min away) and I freaked out b/c I was afraid that I was going to get stuck on the side of the road and no way to get help. After a few minutes I remembered that I had my Apple Watch on and I can make calls from that.

Oh that is good! of course unless you are having car issues getting stuck on the side of the road is unlikely to happen.

This happens when you have to do something important and when your mind is preoccupied

Yes, it is the only thing I can think about, until it is safely back in my hand.

If you have an emergency you will be very happy you had it with you.

No I have talked to, many people that are older don't have them..I think it is ridiculous personally..The older you are really the more likely to have an emergency, however, some of them are like you and are always traveling with a spouse who has a phone. I know you are not old.

One time I left it in the store, but it is more typical for me to leave it in the car. I have done that a few times.
