Festivals, and other occasions are good to celebrate. It is also good to play some music. But why play Loud Music that creates nuisance for kids, elders, students preparing for exams and other folks? And it is even more frustrating that some repeat violators always go scot free. Many get an indication of police's arrival and lower their volumes just in time to escape police. Yet that could be a part of history as now Delhi Police would get decibel meters which would not only capture more than permitted decibels from a distance, but also get the exact location using in-built GPS. Some people might dismiss it as a money earning scheme by Police, but I feel it is time to inculcate the respect for law among the violators. News source:
Next time you are disturbed by loud music blaring in your neighbourhood, don’t fret. Trust police to zero in on the precise location of the sound and

@LadyDuck yes and many people in India too want that but there are more complexities due to years of heavy political interference in working of the police.

@Nakitakona the problem is that many people violate things and many think that they can get away due to their money and influence.

I’m so glad to hear that! What a wonderful idea. I cannot stand loud music especially from others.

@DianneN yes even I do not like. In some religious functions, the loudspeakers are sooud and if we tell this to others, they frown and ask why we are protesting against loud noise in a function dedicated to God! As if God has asked them to put up such loud music to cause disturbance to others. And this is not religion specific. But how to make people understand?

I think this is a great idea. It is very inconsiderate to continually disturb neighbours with loud music.

@JudyEv and often the folks creating nuisance are a bit uncivilized and ready to fight sort of people. Many decent folks avoid confronting them, and often police too used to be friendly with those people due to their money power. But I hope that the police is not partial in punishing and fining the people and acts responsibly.

@JudyEv Yes we cannot be sure whom we encounter. But yes, we can still approach law agencies in groups. And Lawyer friends do help in such cases.
