Felt a Little Fall in the Air

Today is the official first day of fall. We will continue with 90s all week. No rain for weeks now. Very dry here.
I saw many birds at the bird bath. Blue jays, doves, mockingbirds, a downy woodpecker and even a robin. Have not seen the robins in awhile.
Today was a little different as I enjoyed 60s while in the screen room with my coffee and cats. Very nice change form the 80s. It was a little overcast. For a little while.
I brought a few leaves in the screen room for the cats to play with. The Dude likes the sound they make when he moves them around.
Then the sun came out and changed everything. The cats are now inside in their sleeping spots. I am back in to get some projects going.

lubbock, texas'n that area got'cher rains, hon. sure poured'n 's fer a bit anyhow. 'twas so hopin' ya might catch 't least a chance shower there. got nothin' here either. 'twas mighty lush'n green though 'bout 30 miles out, now i know where ours's been goin', lol.
the robins might be comin' back'n lookin' fer watered lawns'n such to bring their favorite foods to the surface? 've not seen many birds 'f any sorts here today 's many're seed eaters 'n i've no bird seed. 've been grindin' the squirrel food fer 'em (the corn), there'd be a few sunflower'n pumpkins seeds'n the mix. the latter 'f which brings joy to the blue jays 'n curved-billed thrasher.
aw, how sweet 'f ya to bring those leaves fer yer feline companions to've somethin' new to play with :)
fingers crossed ya get'cha some rain soon, hon. seems the western side 'f our state 'tis finally gettin' 'em some. the 4 corners 'twas mighty dry this summer, battlin' severe drought. i hope they get 'nough o'er this week to give 'em some relief without floodin'.

I am still hoping that the hot and dry spots in the U.S. get some lower temps and some rain. We just got a little bit of rain - temps in the 70s.
