Gardening and keeping weeds at bay

One side of my back garden has lovely hardy tropical looking plants. On the other side of my back garden there are brambles and a tree has grown very high. It is going over my garage roof. I will clear all these brambles and cut down the plant growth that is over my garage roof. I need to find a way no other weeds grow. How can I do this on a low budget?

Weedx are so frustrating to deal with. A mixture of vinegar and table salt kills weeds.

Horse tail weeds are challenging to pull up as their routes go far down in the earth.

Wow that sounds like so much work to take care of all that. I have lots of indoor plants but they aren't doing very well.

@shaggin Maybe have a look at realistic fake plants. Then they won't die.

You can also try putting boiling water mixed with rock salt on the weeds. You can also cover low-growing weeds like clover and crabgrass with newspaper and eventually the lack of sunlight will exterminate them.

Boiling water and rock salt is an excellent idea. Thank you. If that doesn't work I will cover these weeds with newspaper. It won't work if it rains though.

LK2018 Some weeds look like flowers. Most of the horse tail weed has gone and tiny bits are left.

As Laurel said, vinegar and salt kills the weeds. Good luck.

A rainy season must be challenging for your garden. A rainy day happened to us when we visited Bohol Island.

One cup of table salt added to a large container of vinegar kills weeds. Just be careful of other plants.

Gardening is keeps you busy in work as you have many space in backyard or frontyard. Here we not get much space around home. Here we just put acid on plant if we not want to grow big it.
