Anton Lucky who is a former member of the Bloods gang in Dallas Texas is one person who is seeing the error of his ways after he was released from prison. Anton along with former street gang members are using their experiences that living a criminal life is not the answer to becoming a person that can make a difference in their communities. Even though the entertainment industry like to portray gang life as cool, Anton is now going to reach children in his community to teach them that the street gang lifestyle is filled with heart break and sadness. Anton is working with former members of the Crips are working together to form a team to spread peace in he communities. They are hoping to spread the positive lifestyle of loving one another instead to using violence to get what they want. I do not know if any of the former gang members found Christianity in prison since I do remember a former minister who is no longer with us mentioning that all people need to do to reform their lives is to get sick of living a sinful lifestyle and walk into the light of God's love.

Young people are more likely to listen to Anton and the former Crips than other mentors. They are doing a great thing.

It is nice to see former gang members telling kids not to follow the gangster lifestyle that is being pushed on television as a glamour lifestyle.

it is good to teach the kids at an age where they can understand and follow the pattern of great living

Because television shows, musicians and movies show the gang life as cool.

Good that he is still able to correct his mistakes because many of them are not able to correct the path they are threading and most will die hardened criminals in them. With this they can lead other lives away from it and making our world a better place to live in.

I am happy to see that former gang members are reaching out to the children to use their talents for good instead of harming themselves and others.

"all people need to do to reform their lives" That's not as easy as you make it sound as anyone who tried to or did reform their lives.

Turning away from an evil life is not easy. In my case it is not easy staying away from sweets and sugary drinks but since I do not want to wind up losing my limbs, I have placed a halt to it.

Was that David Wilkerson who said that? I got his newsletters for a while. I know he preached to the gangs in New York City. That's great Anton is doing that.

@Deepizzaguy That is great that these guys want to teach their community not to do what they have done.

@Hannihar That is true since reforming from doing evil to good is not that easy to do.

That's I think the most proper way of teaching kids what is good and bad directly from those who experienced that in their life.

That is true since kids can say "He has been there and done that. I will stay away from living a gang lifestyle." Since truth is stranger than fiction.
