Eggs, Milk, Brown Sugar and steam! Quite simple right?
Leche Flan is my absolute favorite! I've tried to recreate it a few times while I was overseas but for some reason it just doesn't taste the same compared to how my family makes it back here in the Philippines.
I know there's a similar dessert in Japan. And I can't help but wonder if there are other versions in other countries.
Do you know of any? Or perhaps a personal fave? :P

I have to agree. We've tried it making different variations too. Some with fruits, some with nuts, on a cake (yes a cake XD) and etc. The original ingredients are so few that its become quite welcoming to a lot of possible variations and creativity.

This is a favorite of mine. I especially like if the flan is a bit 'toasted'.

It is! My friend tried out a recipe which added pureed pumpkin into the flan for Christmas. Turned out quite nice, too.

I can't eat the whole size in the picture but yes I like it. I have done this last Christmas and the results of the first batch is quite beautiful but I don't know for the next, it was not perfect as the first. I think the heat plays an important role on it because it should be low.
