My son who is 8 years old struggles a lot in school.He is behind academically in every single school subject,he is visually impaired and has sensory problems too.His self esteem is very low and I decided that if he does some home work about the topic he is learning(Stone age)the teacher will be impressed and he will be nominated for the weekly award"Best effort.".And what happened?Nothing ,but a simple"Well done" whilst a girl was nominated for the award for the most stupid reason you could think of"The queen of the fracture" for breaking her leg.I am so disappointed and heatrhbroken for giving my son this hope. What is the point to ask him to do extra work at home if this is not appreciated by the teachers.
