should I tell you that I had  a bit of a Doohhh   moment ... an embarrassing oooppps moment... and give you all a bit of a laugh...or not... oohh alright then I will... I went for a coffee and slice of cake with some friends, to a new cafe,  that has opened that serves coffee /teas & cakes .... Now ... I've heard of infusion teas...  and coffees and even oils... but I've never heard of cake infusers... until this week... we went up to the counter... where all the lovely cakes were displyed,  and I chose a muffin...quite plain really as I've  not got a very sweet tooth... when it arrived at the table ... some whipped  cream had been added on top and ... what I thought were two chocolate covered finger biscuits... so I pulled one of the biscuits out of the cake and tried to eat it...  but it tasted a bit plasticky... and wondered to myself... what on earth is this...... lol.. anyway...  I tried to break it in half to dunk   it .. at which point...  caramel sauce squirted out, and ran all over my fingers and hand, and all down my wrist too... lol much to the amusement of my friends ... who began laughing even more when I told them what had happened ..  as they had heard,  of cake infusers... but I quickly licked the sauce off my hands...  I  wouldn't want all that caramel sauce going to waste lol... mean while my friends were passing me serviettes... have you heard of them ..?  well for those of you who haven't... the little pipettes of flavouring..  (which I mistook for chocolate finger biscuits) ... in this case caramel... are placed in the cup cake... and then you squeeze the pipette to add the flavouring,  and you can move the pipette around the cake,  to infuse different areas of the cake... see the post photo... I think its a great idea... you can buy them online, pre filled or empty...,so you fill them yourself, with your own flavouring...

That sounds like it must have been a bit funny watching you had they already been aware of these little things. I have not heard of them, so I am sure that I would have returned mine telling them that I asked for it plain. They do infuse flavours in many of the muffins that are served at Canada's coffee/tea favorite. There is a fruit explosion muffin which when you cut it in half it has (messy) filling, almost like pie filling. there is cream cheese filling in the carrot muffins. I like a muffin to be a muffin, don't fool me with the inners please.

I think we will not see them coming here, they are trying to ban everything made with plastic, the plastic straws have already gone, the cups and glasses too.

@sueznewz2 I have seen on the shelves many disposable items made with "Bamboo", it is a great idea, this plant grows fast and it is light.

I have never heard of such a thing, ingenious no doubt but I would not want a flavor-infused if I hadn't chosen it.
