Oiling up the AR-4xs. A self-portrait?

I intended this to be a picture of the first AR-4x being oiled up (I like the contrast between the sanded wood and the oiled wood), but I realized that astute observers could learn a lot about me from this photo.
There's a '70s Gordon Lightfoot album (yes, album) to the left, and my Fishman guitar amplifier to the right. The only thing missing is an actual guitar or two.
In any case, this is what the speakers look like as of this morning. I should have them done by tomorrow. What are you up to on this sunny and cool Saturday?
I have to go a find a blue Hot Wheel racing car with a spoiler. It's Horse' Jr.'s friend Aastik's fifth birthday and they're throwing a big party for him. Mom is at work, so I'm taking Horse Jr.

Wish you were just nearby, I have acquired a large 70s or early 80s Japanese Sansui speaker in my trading shop around 4 days ago and I still can't figure out if I would restore it or do a fast break and make a quick buck. Is that linseed oil you're applying? I might give it a retouch just so it would fetch a higher price.

@TheHorse old speakers here especially expensive high end Japanese like Sansui, Kenwood, Akai are more often always made of real wood.

@CarolDM Horse Jr. and I just helped them carry a bunch of stuff in from the party. They sent me home with some yummy Indian food and Horse Jr. home with some "sweets." The 5-year-old birthday boy, of course, fell asleep on the way home from the party.

I love the stain color, those speakers are going to look great when you finish!

The cool thing it's actually just clear Howard's Orange Oil. Late '60s and early '70s speakers were veneered with really nice dark walnut wood and you don't need to stain them when you refinish them. That's the wood's natural color when oiled.

@TheHorse Oh, so that's an oil and not a stain? Wow, it really made the color of the wood pop!
