It's Saturday! Time for another music trivia quiz! This one is a return to songs which contain an exercise term in the title.
If you've had a few too many summer cookouts these exercise songs should "fit you to a T" and put you in a mood to shed those extra pounds. So, time to pick up your pace and "run" like it's a race (or like a Devil) as you sort through the clues.
And here's a video song which is sure to get you runnin' especially when you hear David Lee Roth's squealing vocals and Eddie Van Halen's guitar solos...
Hope you enjoyed that video as we "sprint" ahead to this weeks song and artist clues.
Whodunnit- Do you know these songs and artists?
1. This band's frontman dreamed of being a rocker after meeting Elvis on the set of one of his films in Ocala, Florida in 1961. He was only 11 years old at the time but became fascinated with how "The King" made the girls go crazy. The Florida musician achieved his dream in 1976 when he formed his own rock band. In this trivia song the artist sings about driving into the great wide open, with nothing but glorious possibility in his path. The tune has a classic line in the lyrics which names another artist who had a run-titled hit of his own in 1961. In 2007, Peter Bogdonovich used this trivia song title for his documentary film on the band.
2. This New Jersey native released this tune in 1975. He is often associated with the music scene in Asbury Park and was nicknamed "The Boss," by overwhelmed musicians who heard him play in the early '70s. A name he hates by the way. Despite his massive popularity this artist and his band has never had a #1 single. Many of this musician's songs mention girls by name; in this one the heroine is Wendy. The song's lyrics also reference "Highway 9" which refers to Route 9 in New Jersey, which went through the artist's hometown of Freehold. This performer never had a job besides making and playing music. I guess you could say he was "born" to become a musician.
Video Bonus: Eddie Van Halen didn't ask for royalties after completing a guitar solo for the "King of Pop" Michael Jackson- he did it as a favor.
Question- Any guess as to the song Eddie helped Jackson complete?
Alright, time to "shift into gear" and figure out the clues and solve this music quiz. Remember part of the song title has an "exercise" reference. If your stuck and need additional help just let me know in your response. Or as The Four Tops might say, "I just can't help myself" if you need another clue. As always, thanks for reading and responding to my music post !!!!

@dgobucks226 It makes total sense why I didn't know any of these. I don't listen to any of those artists. I never was a Michael Jackson fan.

THE most successful 'exercise' song is celebrated today: Olivia Newton-John gets 'Physical'
"The Australian singer—and 'Grease' star—releases the saucy single and its suggestive fitness-themed video. The song will become her biggest US hit, topping Billboard's singles chart for 10 weeks."

Ha, ha... Well I just can't help myself I've got to give you another chance! Song #1 was written by a group whose name will "break your heart." Part of the song title refers to what you might occasionally encounter while sleeping. Another part of the song title is the opposite of the word UP. Combine these terms with the correct exercise term for this quiz and you just might get it???
Bonus song- when you want to make an omelet you have to do what to the eggs?
And if you are unable to "fit" the pieces together always remember 1 is better than none

@1hopefulman Yes, the bonus is correct! The Petty song was "Runnin' Down a Dream." Although that was an interesting interpretation. Well, you did "beat" the quiz sort of, lol. Weird Al Yankovic did a version called "Eat It." Enjoy the video chuckle
