Eating less. Remember how doctors advice sick people "Don't eat this, don't eat that". Sadhguru suggested eating 2 meals a day only for people aged 35 and above. I thought food is what keeps us alive, why is it also the cause of sickness. MY officemate sometimes would comment when someone is diagnosed of a disease, "The cause must have been the food he eats". Food just tastes so good. In addition we also eat for comfort when we are suffering emotionally or bored. Sometimes we are craving for something. Anyway, these are just my conflicted views on food. But now, knowing this little bit of information will help me to eat consciously.

Okinawans eat until they are 80 percent full. They never want to be superfull and they live the longest. They eat pork everyday BTW.

@yoalldudes when your stomach is 100 percent full you have a big belly and you can barely walk

I believe that kidney failure cause by too much eating food. Why? Because of food we don’t know how it was being cook. Most of us rely on instant food and easy to cook food that has a lot of preservatives. Also those drinks too like energy drinks.

@JustBhem It's best to grow your own food if one wants to live long but that too is very expensive.

They are delicious that's why we are tempted to eat them. Perhaps they are full of chemicals that are bad for the kidney.

I think the key is yo eat as needed by body and not overdo. You follow Sadhguru's teachings? So he is famous outside India as well?

@yoalldudes he looks like an honest person unlike many other shady Godmen. In fact, he is making an excellent effort in River Conservation drives in India.

I also have to limit my food intake since eating too much causes me to have stomach pains and raising my chances of getting diabetes.

@Kuttu_007 yes eating beyond limit is always harmful but at times, we succumb to our taste buds!!

@yoalldudes but the dinner should ideally be the lightest, which is not often the case. Many a times, we end up having a heavy dinner.

I used to belive that breakfast is the most important and heaviest meal of the day. But I believe more on eastern knowledge sometimes, and so I just nibble on some sweet potato or piece of bread in the morning. Then I will have a full meal for brunch.
