Where The Heck Is Autumn?

I thought by now we might be getting a break from this 90+ degree weather here in Florida. What happened to autumn?
Isn't it supposed to start getting a little cooler? I'm no asking for much, just a little drop in temperature, maybe 10 degrees.
Come on Mother Nature, get with the program.
It sure would be nice to have some autumn breezes and a touch of that autumn color in the leaves.
Please let autumn visit us down here.

It is well into autumn here Susan. Today it will not reach 70. The trees are beginning to turn.

@Tampa_girl7 I have been reading the Lotters that live in your area and it is still so very hot there. It is incredible. I hope the temps cool soon for you there Marie.

92 today. BUT Friday the temps are going down to 59 and then in the lower 60s. Could this be it? Maybe we're going from summer to pre-winter. Where are the 70s? With the temps that chilly the evenings should be cold enough to start the leaves changing...maybe? Hopefully it will cool down across the nation because so many states have been HOT! You have a happy and healthy day as well!

@LindaOHio Make sure you take some pictures of the changing leaves and share them with us. I hope the cold front reaches here. I understand that it is supposed to get down to the high 80's here in my part of Florida.

@HazySue The temps over the next few days should be low enough at night to start the leaves changing. You may get some of this cold front...it's supposed to drop pretty low in the U. S....don't know if it will make it to Florida.

Unfortunately because of the neglecting the mother nature and polluting the environment, resulting into Global warming and the effects are gradually shown up in the form of erratic weather conditions! It's starting to look a little bit autumny here in the east of England but most of the trees and bushes seem to be holding onto their green this year!! I'm dying to take some photos of the changing colours but it just isn't happening.
