@CarolDM yer welcome :) perhaps? jest a dive 'nto winter, which'd not be a good thingy if'n i recall those parts correctly. usually means lots 'f ice storms. not a fan :( the vine 'tis still doin' well, though's gone to seed. got off to a late start comin' out due to the cooler'n norm late spring/early summer weather. they've usually taken the place o'er by september, the hummers fav to visit. with the high heat, winds 'n lack 'f rain this summer, they've struggled so.

@CarolDM Which is more than you and I can say! haha But maybe they help us tolerate the heat just a littlle more than we would otherwise, just because of their beauty.

I read this about the aphids (little white or green bugs). So far I have not had any.

@CarolDM Thank you, I just read the link. The aphids I grab them with tweezers, for the white ones I sprayed with dishwashing detergent and water, I thought it would kill the brush, but no, now it's pretty.
