Day 61 Promise 90 Deuteronomy 7:14 Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. 15 And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you know, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them who hate thee. 16 And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee. 17 If thou shalt say in thine heart, ‘These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?’ 18 Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt; 19 The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched-out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so, shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid. 20 Moreover the LORD thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed. 21 Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible. 22 And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: you may not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee. 23 But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed. 24 And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until you have destroyed them. 25 The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God. 26 Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing. Everyone wants to live a blessed life. No one wants trouble in their lives, but to live free of trouble. God told His people what they must do to achieve the blessings He promised them. As I showed yesterday, it takes obedience, faith, and trust in God to bring about God’s blessings in your life. When you trust God to provide for you, the blessings He promised His children, are yours. His blessings include: fertility, health, deliverance from enemies, and protection. It takes faith to trust that God will take care of you and provide the work, the home, the family, and the substance you need to sustain your life. Yet, that is what God promises to everyone who calls God their God and Jesus, their Savior. Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, “Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, ‘That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.’ 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or, ‘What shall we drink?’ or, ‘Wherewithal shall we be clothed?’ 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” If God can take care of the birds, beasts, and plants, He can take care of you too. You only need to trust and believe. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for taking care of me in the little things. Help me believe You will take care of me in everything in my life when I put my faith and trust in You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. I LOVE Matthew 6:26 and every time I see a bird I think of that verse as a reminder of how God will take care of us. =) Also in Luke yesterday I read a verse about God knowing how many hairs on our heads! That is amazing to me!!
