How much do you eat?

I personally don't eat much. But in order to maintain my body weight, I usually eat only a little food during dinner, but sometimes I have an enermous breakfast. For brekfast i usually have tea, a bowl of oatmeal and a slice of cantloupe. There's a statement about the amount of food we should have for breakfast, Lunch, and dinner: “Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and eat dinner like a beggar.” What do you think about this statement? A recent research indicates that we can lose more weight if we consume more calories in the morning and less in the evening. However, i think it's not just HOW MUCH you eat, but also WHEN you eat will affect weight gain. So, how much do you eat?

I eat very little, as I am Italian our breakfast is always the lightest meal of the day. I have always been thin and my husband too, never gained weight.

You're lucky, Anna. You won't need to do extra exercise for reducing weight.

Marisha, I'm the other way around. I eat a small breakfast, a decent size lunch, and a big supper. But I'm not worried because I'm not gaining weight. I've actually lost a few pounds recently. Instead, I'm more worried about my sugar intake and my cholesterol levels.

Everyone seems to be worried about eating food which contains sugar and cholesterols. But that makes sense. Many people get diabetes and coronary disease easily nowadays. I'm also worried about these.

I eat a vegan diet. When I was a child I became a vegetarian. From my teenage years on wards I became a vegan very gradually. I eat a small breakfast of toast, at lunch time I eat a medium meal like pasta and at dinner time I eat a vegetable meal. When I was teenager I always ate my dinner before 17.00. I didn't want weight gain you see. I can therefore see that is a great idea. I might try eating more for breakfast then and less for dinner.

Big breakfast will make more energy which we need to do activities during day time. What do you usually have for breakfast?

@Kitty_Lover I have lost weight and do not eat much these days. I would not be a person to take to a buffet where you can eat all you want. I would take a lot home to have for other meals but I prefer eating at home. If I do go out to eat I want to go to a restaurant. I eat two meals a day and do not eat in between meals anymore. For breakfast I eat cereal with moki in it and hot chocolate.

I don't think I would like to take a buffet too. Your breakfast looks similar with mine.

Ha! Spicy food is always a big temptation for men, I think. Do you cook your own food or someone cooks it for you?

My consumption of food is based on how busy I am. During the weekdays my intake of foods is limited but the weekend, I consume all my weekdays' foods with the weekend altogether.
