Dark and cool tonight

It is just past 6:30 pm and I had to turn the light on over the table that I'm sitting at. I needed to turn the light on in the kitchen when I went to get a drink. I hate when it gets dark so early and it will be even worse after Daylight Savings Time. Ugh.
It is also getting pretty cold. When I got back here after work the apartment felt warm so I opened up a couple of windows. Now I have had to close them and put a sweatshirt on because I am so cold. Maybe "second summer" is over and it is finally fall.
This is why I dislike fall and winter. The days get colder and shorter. I am a summer girl and a beach baby for sure.

@NJChicaa I remember living in MA and yes the dark came so early even 3:30 some days it seemed.

I know that the days are getting shorter.
I had to close windows late this afternoon, it got cool.
Tonight it will go down to 2C which is only 35.6 F.
I brought in a few of my outdoor plants that I am hoping to keep over the winter.
I love the autumn best of all of the seasons.

Yes, I'm with your on the change from summer to Fall. Gets dark sooner and the temps start to vary so much from day to day. And you left out one other thing, we have to start digging out of our closets those warmer clothes
