In the picture is the big number of star fruits that were destroyed by the insects and the birds. They are 88 in all that I picked from the tree and also from the ground. When the rain comes the insects are having a heyday and I have not thought of a solution. But next month maybe there will be a good harvest.

What a shame! Not even putting a mosquito net over the tree would keep out tiny insects, would it?

The net may ruin the tree. I tried covering the fruits but it fell after a few days. It needs sunlight, I guess.

You can always bury the ruined fruits and let nature do the rest - you have your own organic fertilizer.

You might be surprised to know that it is just a small tree.

What a pity. They are nice fruits containing lots of vitamin.

Hopefully after the rainy season there will be no more insects.
