It's been quiet.

Not too much has been happening around here. Let's be real, the high point of the day is when the mailman comes by. For the cats, it's when they hear us cracking open the food cans. Such my darlings, are the lives of retirees.
Seriously.
No, it's not quite that bad. I read a lot. I watch a lot of PBS. Can't wait for J to get the new television, then I can get back to the streaming services. But taxes need to be paid first.
The leaves are changing very slowly around here, we haven't hit the peak yet on our part of the Hudson. But I suspect this year that the heavy rain that is predicted will strip the trees before they change. No frost yet, but I think it will be soon.
Last night was pretty bad. I couldn't sleep at all, and I don't know if it was the aches or the CPAP that caused me to finally give up and go sleep in my chair in the living room. I did manage to get through about two hundred pages of my latest read, _Csardas_ by Diane Pearson.
Here is the new cabinet that I am slowly filling up with my collection of porcelain. I really do like it.

That's a gorgeous cabinet. My hubby will be retired in about three years. If we stay where we are right now, we'll be just sitting and looking at each other unless we do chores. So....we'll most likely move to an area of our state where there is more to do and easier access to public transportation.
