This was Not planned...

This lizard on the wall, an anole to be exact, was not planned. Nor is he/she a pet. Though it is beautiful. I just woke up one morning to see it there and stared at it a while thinking about how big it was and how neither my husband or I ever noticed it come in. Say what?! I doubt it could have hurt me or anything, but still, I did not want to touch it. So I didn't. I waited for my husband to get home.By that time, Mr./Mrs. anole was nowhere to be seen. We went to bed that night and guess who showed up that next day? You got it, the anole. Hubby caught it in a container and let it back outside. No doubt it is happier out there than in our house. Thankfully, there are more bugs outside than in (thanks to ant and roach bait, lol) By the way, Mr or Mrs anole was about 18 inches long from nose to tip of tail. Which explains why I stared at it in wonder for a while. At least, I hope it does...

I always loved them when young. Now I think they are fascinating, but from a distance. ha ha

That is something my daughter would have liked and picked up. Me I would not want to touch it.

When I lived on Guam I always saw them in and outside our home.

Glad your husband caught it and put it outside where it belongs.

Maybe the lizard was trying to "horn in" on the spider's territory Glad you got the critter.

I like lizards although I wouldn't want to touch one. This time last year we visited the island in the Atlantic called Madeira. We walked along and a lizard would hide. The green lizard must have been a surprise for you. Not once but twice he came to see you.

It's big and it's long. Is your surrounding is planted with trees? How come it gets into your house?
