This is a song from long ago that inspired my poetic heart today. Sung by Joan Baez “Diamonds and Rust”. She wrote and composed that song herself in 1974. The song is lovely and sentimental telling about getting a surprise phone came after many years have passed from an old lover. Her inspiration for the song came from her relationship with Bob Dylan. The album with this song also titled Diamonds and Rust went Gold. This song also brings back certain memories to me too and I realized that the quiet little street I now live on is sort of like the surroundings I lived in, in Riga. Latvia except that the street was much longer and intersected with other suburban streets and did not end with a traffic street. So here it is the street I now live on.
