Thanksgiving Is Now Over...

At least for our family. It's been a busy couple of days and horrid weather for most of it... go figure. Saturday we had friends over and we showed them our town. That was a big hit and then stopped at the pub for a quick lunch. Yesterday we went to our son's for Thanksgiving Dinner and a game of soft ball with the grand kids. We really should have filmed it lol, because our granddaughter is just learning the game and when she finally hit the ball, she carried the bat with her to first base. Her mother played 2nd base and probably knew about as much as our granddaughter lol. Granddad played first base, our son played outfield and I played back catch. The rest of the grandchildren were scattered around the field yelling instructions to her lol. Next week, we apparently have another game scheduled because apparently, WE need the practice lol. Here's hoping that the weather co-operates! Manitoba, our home last year got hit with a snowstorm so fingers crossed it isn't heading our way!! So what did you do this weekend?? And I want to know about your weather too. Oh yes, we had a gorgeous moon last night! It was awesome!!

The ball game sounds like a lot of fun. Glad you had a wonderful thanksgiving. We are having our Thanksgiving dinner today. The weather has been beautiful this weekend. Warmer then usual for this time of year. Happy thanksgiving to you and your family.

Thank you and the same to your family. It's nice to have family all around for the day and coaching little ones was hilarious.

That must have been some game. I bet you guys had a ball, so to speak. It sounds like you enjoyed your Thanksgiving. Hoping the snowstorm passes you by. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. It's supposed to be about 99%humidity and in the high 80's here today.

We have been lucky so far and fingers crossed that it stays that way. Snow for Christmas eve is more than enough for me!

Saturday was fun because I went to a couple of festivals, Sunday it rained and football was on tap. Saturday was a gorgeous day. Sounds like you had a good Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving. Our family celebrated on Saturday, so we are enjoying the rest of this gloriously long weekend just getting things cleaned up and ready for the next season. I cleaned out my patio planters yesterday, and today we will have our granddoggie in while our son and daughter-in-law go to her family's celebration. We will have a nice quiet afternoon.

I was looking at the weather for the coming week and the temps are supposed to be climbing. It will be nice to enjoy temps back in the high teens for a while longer!!

I can imagine! Ours still have a way to go, but they are getting there. As for crowds... I don't like them very much either!

I can imagine the kids would love to give you all more 'practice'. My four-year-old asked his grandmother to play cricket with him. He asked her if she knew the rules. When she said 'no', he said 'oh good'.
