It's nice to have a garden where one can grow vegetables and maybe even have a couple of fruit trees.

I have aloe and broad leaf plantain growing in my little backyard of my apt home. I like having flowering plants in my home, so I get the starter ones for they are cheap. One has lasted me, about 4 months so far. That's how I combat air pollution giving back oxygen with plants.

Nice! I also have several aloe vera plants that I eat a leaf here and there at times.
I also have a vine that grows like crazy and now I have two pots with it.
I also grow some mint and some sort of lemon plant which I can consume. I grow all this in my living room. In the summer I also grow some edible greens on my balcony. I live on the fourth floor.

@oahuwriter I'm no expert on plants. I am just glad to see them doing well.

Me too. I soon will go to Lowes for their .88 starter flowering plants and hope they last me a few months.

Yes, plants are important to clean up the air and give us oxygen. Do you also have indoor plants?

@1hopefulman Just a few now, because we aren’t around to care for them half the year. Our son waters them here, and our neighbor in Florida is caring for one.

@DianneN You have a particular situation with living in two places. I am trying to increase the indoor plants because of our long winter.

It is nice to look at. Yes, hopefully they have done a good lob in the construction and this building will last a long time.

Yes, I agree with that! I live in a big city but there is a park about a 10 minutes walk and I am often visiting that beautiful little piece of nature.

We have a loving, wise Creator and he has made this planet so that it will become a paradise in the future. It is great that some humans understand the importance of having more green plants around us -

I read about a research - sick people get healthier by being near nature and even by seeing nature from the window..

Very nice way of making the environment healthier!
I wish that was my yard. I live in an apartment building on the 4th floor and only have a little balcony where I grow some plants in the summer.

One thing I really like about them is that they are very quiet and not like some of my neighbors.

I find myself alive in my books, thanks to the trees.
We owe a lot to plants, even up to our very lives.
I have a few potted peace lilies in my study.

That's a lot of plants! I have plants inside my home, on my deck, and around my yard, but I would not want to live in a high-rise with that much foliage. I'd feel like I'm in a rain forest.

I looked at what some of the people that live in that building have said and they see quite happy with their environment.

Plants is not a problem in our house since we are surrounded by many kinds of them but in my workplace there's no plants at all...

@simplfred Yes, that is what I was thinking. I remember where I used to work they allowed us to have a few plants in the offices. There was one woman that was good with plants and she took care of them so well.

The way things are going, nothing stays the same these days. Here, many trees are being cut down because of an invasion of a bug that is killing certain trees.

Here, we have very few mosquitos and there are a lot of plants and trees around. I think our cold and long winters make it hard for them to survive. So far this year, I have not had one bite.
