Do you know that all the planets in our solar system are named after a Greek God or any Mythology characters.. Except Earth..it is the only planet not named after a God.

The word Geo is a Greek word that means Earth. I think, with a little play on the pronunciation of words, over the years it is similar to Gaia. She was the Greek earth Goddess and then in the ancient Egyptian Gods, we have the Earth God, Geb. The words are all very similar. So in a sense, Earth is a Gods name, coming from a variation of the word Geo and it's translation. Thanks for making me look that up.

Well, how does the word Gaia - Geb - Geo - Earth are similar... Clearly the word Earth is not given to any of the Greek or Egyptian Gods. "Earth" is derived from both English and German words, 'eor(th)e/ertha' and 'erde', which mean ground.
