An Earthquake Drill Necessary?

Our country Philippines is often rocked by an earthquake. And it's hit recently by three consecutive quakes somewhere in Mindanao.
Now the big question is: what to do when earthquake strikes?
In my stint as a school principal of 6 separate elementary schools, I required my teachers to teach their pupils on what to do during the earth according to the instructions of the National Disaster and Risk Reduction Management.
And finally the Department of Education issued an order for every school to conduct annual earthquake drill in the month of June.

Yes there is a need right now since we are prone to have earthquakes often and the more people who are aware of the safety procedure when struck by it the less casualty we will expect. Although casualty cannot be avoided especially when hit badly.

We also have earthquakes here too. That is a good idea to have drills on how to prepare for an earthquake.

It's now a regular drill not only of the pupils but also the government employees.

It is necessary! However though, some of the call centers here in the Philippines will only allow few individuals to join an earthquake drill instead of all its employees and for me it is ridiculous. I mean, what about the others? How are they supposed to know what should be done in case, provided that these companies are almost always located in the tallest buildings.
