Raining here on the Ranch so my thoughts are meandering

It is raining again so walking anywhere around is quite muddy. I don't care. Yesterday I walked in the woods and came accross two ladies having a wonderful prayer and worship session in the woods - so I joined them. You can go into the woods and shout your heart out and why not? I have to invest in wellington boots and a cagoule as soon as I can.My shoes now live in the car so I look normal in town. On Sundays we have a communion service in the evening in the tabernacle. The tabernacle is really a big tent arranged like it would have been in the Bible. There are no seats in the Holy of Holies, just cushions and we have the communion like the disciples would have had te last supper. That is, reclining and leaning on the left arm with feet pointing away from the circle.
When a friend came over, we took a boat round the lake. That was fun as we were going through reeds and literally clearing the way in the stream that leads to it as we went.
The white horse allowed to roam free ends up by my chalet quite often.
It is hard to work when there are amazing trees to look at and wonderful birds. I saw and heard a woodpecker for the very first time here and he seems to like the tree by my chalet. I see a lot of robins.
It is kind of cosy inside when it rains but I am excited for when we get snowed in. Apparently at that point I need to leave my car by the gate as the entire place ends up like an ice rink. I wonder if the lake will freeze enouth to skate and if my skates still fit.
Freya the Catblog Cat has been allowed out and refuses to go too far. She disappears and I worry then five minutes later she is back in. I think the quack of the ducks scares her! However she seems happy enough now and to have accepted this is now our home.
I will have to go shopping. That means a drive and maybe I should learn how to shop online and save the petrol as there is really no incentive to leave here at all.

It looks like a very calm; close-to-nature place! Freya seems to be investigating the place!

Initially she liked to escape into the woods, but now Freya seems to be staying close to home and preferably by a human but there is no particular reason for this. I think she would outrun a fox, but I am keeping her in at night much to her disgust.

Your new home sounds wonderful. I think I would love a place like that with no incentive to leave even to go shopping. Online shopping sounds like the best option.
I hope your skates fit and you can skate on the lake this winter.
