Our old Honda Civic had manual transmission and I was driving it for 15 years or so. In 2013 we bought a Ford suv with automatic transmission. It was great driving even during a heavy traffic. When we bought a second car, we chose an automatic again.

It's difficult when the traffic is heavy.

Yes automatic so much easier tho I did always get a thrill out of shifting gears in a 4 on the floor.

One query: Does your automatic have the same pickup as the manual ones?

I cannot distinguish because my suv has a bigger engine of 2.3 while our old Honda has 1.5 only.

While a lot of Automatic cars are now available in India, I have had Manual ones so far. May be the next time. So do we have 1-2-3-4-5 gears in Automatic or just one setting and accelerator?
