Hello fellow Mylotters! How´s your Sunday?
I have just finished watching "Das Grosse Backen" (The Great Baking) on the tv. It has been a long time I have watched this show. It is a wonderful show where I can learn and have learned so much by watching how the contestants bake and decorate the cakes, cupcakes and cookies. Today, I was so touched when one of the contestants won the final contest for this year 2019. It was awesome.
Last week, I have not baked a cake but I think this week I can, when my friend brings me her new harvested hazel nuts home. What do you think what fruit will taste good together with hazel nuts?
Anyway, have a nice new week ahead. Thanks for reading.
The photo is a chiffon chocolate cake I baked before. This photo was once posted on my blog.

I get ideas when I want to cook something only on YouTube. We don't do much baking in the house.

@thelme55 one cooking show and chef I loved to watch was Anthony Bordain cause he's very adventurous when it comes to food like me Too bad I didn't know he had problems. I also like Nigella Lawson but I watch and love her more than her cooking

I use to watch Master Chef but haven't in awhile. That cake in the photo looks delicious.

@thelme55 I think those who are good in cooking and wish to experiment, cookery shows are better options for them to learn.

I will sometimes watch baking shows but not very often. I do not do a lot of baking to be honest. Sorry, I'm not sure what would taste good with hazel nuts but I am sure someone will have a few good ideas.

I don't know how hazelnuts would taste with a spice cake. How about a carrot cake? I used to watch cooking shows all the time. I do more MyLotting now.

I sometimes watch cooking shows and usually while I eat. Not sure why I do that.

@thelme55 Well, if I watch tv while I eat the eating process seems to take longer.

@lovebuglena I have not thought about it. You might have chewed your food slowly and it is very good for your health

Nope. I have not learned from watching that show @renicemae. I learned much of my baking from working at the cafeteria ages ago. I was taught to bake by the owner of the bakery who was a confectioner.

I have a lot of fun watching cooking shows but I never try cooking what they are showing. I prefer to cook myself my way, I mean in a simple way :)

@thelme55 Yeah but I guess women really have greater passion in terms of cooking compare to men :). You have more patience too in this kind of thing. Thanks for the response, Thelma.
