Pain, You Are Certainly The Devil

Pain My unseen friend. Every present on some level. My foot that is no longer there feels like someone has it in a vise. Sometimes it feels like fire is raging over my feet and lower leg, other times its stabbing. Not a couple of pin stabs but what i can only image it feels like to be stabbed over and over with a sharp carving knife. I've been in severe pain for three days now - so much so that I can't even concentrate on watching a television show. Nothing helps, I even broke out the hard core pain meds and none of them even came close to touching the pain. Pain is evil. It tricks you. Just when you think it's starting to subside it comes back with a vengeance. I cry and whimper and sometimes scream but nothing helps. Pain id always there just waiting to catch you off guard. My only comfort comes from nly having to deal with this with my left leg at the oment. Either the right one is giving me a break or it is being dwarfed by the antics of my left leg stump. How do you deal with pain?
