I'd Say He's Breaking....

If he wasn't already broke. What do you know! Trump backed off on his Doral emolument deal. I don't believe for a minute it's because of the Democrats, and the press. I tend to believe that at least one of the G7 members complained that they didn't want to be tied into Trump corruption, and that they weren't too fond of the idea of getting bitten by bed bugs. I could be wrong, and i twas simply lack of GOP support, and the fear that it would end up another article of impeachment. Could it still end up an article of impeachment?

I have read a short communication where it is said that Donald Trump renounced to host the next G7 (June 2020) at Doral Club Golf Club. Now they are talking about Camp David.

@jprtist It seems a more appropriate place for the meeting.

@tallawah oh hell yes. Security Upgrades etc.... He'd have probably discovered more parasites around the estate. Needs to renovate portions before the big meetup. Plus, just making costs for a full hotel that's usually nearly empty, would have been a large windfall. He's a crook. Only stupid people and other crooks don't know that yet.

Camp David is where it's traditionally held.

I'm afraid you lost me on this one. I'm not familiar with the Doral deal or G7 and...bed bugs?

Trump owns a resort in Miami. It's called the Doral. When he was at the last conference of the G7, Hosted in another country, I can't remember which, He said when it was our turn again, we'd host the G7 at his resort in Florida. It caused a stir then, because it was a blatant violation of the clause in the Constitution that forbids the President from profiting from foreign countries. Than, last week, with all his other problems, he announced it was official. Next years G7 woulld be at his resort. The G7 is in June. The Doral Resort is losing money, and in June it's occupancy is in the mid 30% area. So, a GY conference would fill it up, and make lots of money, even at cost which he offered to do, because 2/3 empty, it doesnt even make up costs. Further, the Doral is famous for bed bug infestations, and was recently sued for an undisclosed amount in the judgement. But the pictures of the tenants bites are very convincing. Anyway, in the middle of the night, Sat/Sun, he backed off, which he rarley does, under the threat of his using the club could constitute yet another article of impeachment. HTH
