Almond butter snacks-no cooking involved!

Almond butter snacks are something we sometimes use with a meal if we have enough left after they are used for snacks.
Many of us enjoy eating things like almond butter snacks but want certain foods we make our way, not the way they might be found in a package.
The basic ingredient is of course almond butter. This is something you can make yourself with almonds and most blenders or food grinders.
We usually buy an organic almond butter that is easy to find because it is less expensive and saves us some time as well. While the almond butter is at room temperature, we simply add the ingredients we want that day and form the snacks into a ball.
Several ingredients some might enjoy added to almond butter could be chocolate chips, oatmeal, bits of pretzels or raisins. If it is your recipe you can added whatever you want to add!
Do you make easy foods like this?

How delicious your recipe sounds. Right now there is a sale on Pumpkin Butter and Apple Butter at our local Times Supermarket. I've never heard of pumpkin butter. I'm going sometime in the near future, weather permitting, to go check it out. Already got my Pumpkin Spice, the sugar free variety from CoffeeMate from Target they had on special. Have you ever tried Pumpkin Butter?

The pumpkin butter we purchased did not have the consistency needed for what we make. It was more like something to spread on bread, but thin like apple butter. We have not see it yet this year.

It was just on sale at our local supermarket, Times. I bought the apple butter, and got a raincheck for the pumpkin butter. I like the apple butter I got. The jar is only 7g of sugar, so I really am enjoying it.

@oahuwriter Apple butter can be a nice treat or good for a meal on the best bread you have.

I make a sort of fudge out of dark chocolate, banana, and vanilla extract. I've used honey in it as well and apple sauce once too.
I like the idea of an almond butter snack.

It sounds like a real tasty treat. I have not made anything like this but I do keep some cake mixes at home if I want something sweet and they are easy to mix up and bake

If we could get someone else to make them, we wouldn't do it! Just eat what they made-

I make my own hummus. I have experimented with making sunflower seed and pumpkin seed butter. I am supposed to have high protein snacks and these would be good. I like to use dried fruits in things.

Hummus made at home is the best. You know what it contains and you can flavor it as you like @GardenGerty

That is probably how we started making these! Not enough thinks around so we mixed almond butter and oats the first time @May2k8

I haven't tried celery with salsa @PatZAnthony I'll give it a shot one day.
Salsa is also really good with sardines and rye bread

Salsa and celery make a great snack too, or a meal if we eat enough @rebelann

For me, these could be part of a meal or a full meal @BelleStarr. Keeping some hidden (aren't I the selfish one) for later.
