My haughty ex turned up as expected at Madeleine's Beach Bar last night with a new man on her arm and he left after half an hour and hasn't been seen since - that's what I'm told, though I wasn't asking. So hopefully she'll be gone by tonight back to Martinique where she belongs and I'll be able to reclaim the Beach Bar for my own. So last night, exiled from my usual bar, I met up with some friends and we went to another place on the edge of town. It was okay, but not very relaxing. When I got home Pogo roared up on his motorbike wakening next door's chickens and told me he had a boat load of French tourists lined up for a picnic at Paka Beach tomorrow, so it'll be an early start for me doing a toilet run first, getting the food and drink sorted then sailing a bunch of tourists to the beach. I do hope they are big tippers. Americans seem to be the best at that.
