Sometimes the hunter becomes the hunted

I just read this story that made me kind of laugh. Now first let me say that I get that it is someones loved one but..well let me explain.
In Arkansas a hunter died...he was not shot by accident, he didn't accidentally fall off a cliff, he got killed by a deer he was hunting. It seems he thought he had killed the deer and went to get the deer when the deer attacked him.
He survived long enough to call his family and they called for emergency responders. He later died at the hospital from being gored by the deer. The story also said that authorities are still looking for the deer. Umm what?
Now I get this is someones loved one and it's sad most every time someone gets killed. But I couldn't help but laugh at this crazy story. The deer was like I don't think so. Deer 1 - Hunter 0
Hunting is a sport.....this deer must have been told ahead of time and he had a plan. Sometimes when all the odds are in your favor, well, you still lose.
So the authorities are still looking for the deer? I really don't get it, why? Is the deer wanted for murder? I hope the deer claims self defense. Are they going to let the deer put the head on his wall as a trophy? I mean it's only fair right?

@Bensen32 I understand! Do you know if he was hunting for food or for sport?

@1hopefulman no the article didn't say why he was hunting but they did say he was an experienced hunter.

@samysotelo18 if someone is hunting for food or to supplement their food then I'm okay with it.
