If you can change your nationality, what nationality would you choose?

Nationality
San Pedro, Philippines

Good day! Of course, I know that we all love our heritage. But this is another hypothetical question. I myself am proud to be a Filipino citizen, I am proud to say that we are well-known for being hospitable, diligent and smart too. But if given a chance, I would choose to be a Spanish or Italian citizen. Their cultures seem so adeptly interesting, as well as their language/dialect. I would love to explore more of their traditions and culture too. So if given a chance to choose what nationality I prefer, I would choose any of these two. How about you? What is your choice? Why?

I have changed my nationality to German nationality. That is because I am living here and I have more benefits to have this nationality than staying a Filipino national but deep inside, I am still a Filipino by heart.

@CzianneL_Andrea Thank you. Yes, it was a challenge for me to learn German language. I live here for almost 40 years.

@thelme55 Wow! That is quite a long time. Are you married to a German?

I respect your decision being practical. It is good to know you remained Filipino by heart. I admire your courage spilling it out. I heard that it is quite challenging, learning the German language though. But it is quite interesting. How long have you been living there?

That is why the question is hypothetical as I clearly stated.

I think my first preference would be to to go the Swiss. I love that Switzerland tries to remain neutral in global politics, that they stand on their own in the world, and that they have some of the most beautiful land in the world. Of course it would require me to learn a new language --- most likely.
