My homemade tahini does not taste like sesame seeds

Hi everyone. In this post I want to tell you that a while ago I have made some tahini past at home. All you have to do is to place a decent amount of (roasted) sesame seeds in the food processor and allow the food processor to mix them until they became a paste. I did the procedure described above and created some homemade tahini this way and I left it uncovered in the fridge a few weeks. But thing is that when I tasted it it tastes weird in my opinion. It does not even taste like sesame. Does this mean that my tahini is altered now and not recommended to be eaten? Or could it be the quality of the sesame seeds themselves. Or could it be that I am just paranoid and there is nothing wrong with them? What is your opinion? Is my tahini altered / rotten? Or am I just paranoid? PS: I hear you all out there saying "well, you can simply get rid of it if you think that it might be rotten / altered" and I do agree with you on that but thing is that I dislike wasting resources. It is pretty hard to just throw it in the trash considering that it was a pretty decent amount of sesame seeds I used for this paste.

If it does not taste right you should not eat it.

you can try to make it or you can buy it from the store if you are curious to try it. Anyways, how are you?
