I understand what you're saying. Don't ruin it for the little ones.

christmas celebration here in our country starts on Dec 16 with what we called MIsa de gallo.. its a novena of the coming of jesus... going to mass or attending a mass is already a celebration not necessarily you have to have some food on the table. christmas spirit is in our hearts and our love for Jesus.

I also feel that my love for jesus is in my heart, and don't really need to openly celebrate it always.

Actually, The bible doesn't say to celebrat christmas. It in facts tell us to rejoice the passing of christ. It also tells us to cry when a child is born, and to celebrate the passing. But anyway, enjoy your christmas.

Thanks JShean, yeah, xmas used to be a time to get together with family, and spend time. But now it's only about "what are you getting me?" It's just no longer the same.

I do prey and give thanks for the birth of christ, but It's not about material things. Actually there's a passage in the bible that states that one isn't to celebrate christams. That is the reason why jahova do not celebrate it.

As for me, it use to be. It went from a time where families come together, to a point where people are only looking out for themselves, asking "what are you getting me"
