Gotta love my iPhone and Apple Watch

They are synced together. When I get a call on my iPhone my watch rings too because I can actually talk to people through the watch. (cool! I feel like Inspector Gadget or James Bond) Anyway, iPhones have had caller ID since they were first created 10+ years ago. What I've noticed lately, though, is that some unknown numbers aren't even displayed when the phone is ringing. It will just say "Telemarketer" or "Scam". That makes it really easy for me to decline the call and not worry about having to deal with a voicemail or wonder what it was about. I just got a call and my Watch said "Telemarketer". No thank you!

I love my Apple Watch ! In the most recent series of Apple Watch, they have made it a lot better for monitoring your health, and especially for working with the fitness apps. My daughter got me my first Apple Watch several years ago, and she just upgraded it to the new Apple Watch series 6, which not only can take an EKG, it also monitors my oxygen levels. I am a senior lady, and being able to monitor my health is very important to me. The watch also can tell if I fall or pass out, and will call 911 emergency, and also notify my family emergency contacts. It is my firm belief that every senior should have an Apple Watch, just for the safety and health features that they provide. Last summer, I was in the back yard and needed help, and my husband could not hear me screaming for him to help me. I remembered I had the watch, and just gave the voice command to call him, and he got the phone call right away and came out to help me. I was trying to pick up our little dog, and she was too heavy for me to pick up, but I was using both hands to hold on to her, so voice activated calling was a lifesaver !

@NJChicaa , yes, this is another reason that I love my Apple Watch. Besides telling me about high or low heart rates, and a-fib, it helped me to know when I needed to get a pacemaker. My doctor had said that eventually I would need one after my heart surgery several years ago. About a year ago, I noticed that my heart rate was going down into the 40’s and sometimes as low as in the 30’s ; so I called my doctor and he did more heart tests. The outcome was that I needed the pacemaker to keep my heart rate from going too low. My heart still regulates my heart rate, unless it gets below 60, and then the pacemaker kicks in. I monitor my sleeping heart rate with the Apple Watch, too, so I can tell what it is doing when I am sleeping and not aware of what is happening.

Technology can be amazing at times and fun to tinker with. My wife had it too and she is quite happy to have them and she appreciates that she can monitor her heart as well.

You are so tech savvy! It's great that you get a notification of telemarketers and scams.
