Today I asked my husband Mamaw our kids great grandma to take our 4.5 year old for a little bit so me and my husband could go to the store and get Christmas presents for all 3 kids. We picked up 1 toy for each of the kids, for a present for our niece she has a birthday party tomorrow. Spend $41 on all of that which wasn’t bad at all. About $10 for each thing. Then I got a book for $5 at Target. So now all the kids have a books, and 1 toy. That means I need to get 2 more gift for each of them and then 1 shared toy like a board game.
Of course I still need to get 1 Santa and some small things for there Stockings. Used what I saved for the month of October in my PayPal to buy those presents. I had $67 saved up.

@amitkokiladitya I try not to spend unless I have to from my PayPal. My bank account is one thing we do spend from that weekly.

Sounds like you have a good plan on what to buy each one of them.

You are so smart to get such an early jump on Christmas shopping! I remember that my wife or I would wait until the last minute when our kids were little, and then scramble like crazy to find them gifts. With my kids both being older now (one in high school and one in college), I just ask them what they want, and then usually will go with them to pick it out and buy. I still manage to sneak in one or two surprise gifts, but usually it's small things. Most of the time, their "big" gift for Christmas each year is our weeklong Christmas trip to Disney.

That must be a nice trip. Since we are saving for a house I started right after my birthday which is about normal still for me. I find it less stressful getting them early because I have to get things for my kids, plus the kids cousins and then if I have time and money I get things for there grandparents and then the aunts and uncles.

@ShyBear88 I've had a couple of times in past years where I was smart enough to get an early jump on shopping, and it was nice because it was way less stressful. But most of the time I wait until the last minute and then scramble to get gifts. Maybe I operate better in crisis management! lol

Thank you! All of them where on sale since it’s a bargain place. Kind of like big lots. My niece gift online was $9 we found it for $5 so I saved like $4 plus not waiting for the shipping.

Not always. Yes there are deals on friends but if you stay early you don’t have to fight to find the gifts you want. My kids have looked st what they want we go to the store a lot but we tell them to wait till Christmas so we always know what they want and where it’s at and if it’s going to go on sale or not.
