Do you ever hang on to clothes that really should be thrown out just because they are comfortable?

I have some pajama bottoms that are stained..faded, too big and otherwise decrepit..but I have never had a more comfortable garment in my life. They are summer weight and if I was going to get rid of them, this would be the time..but I will probably wear them until they fall apart or fall off of me..I love them. Do you have any clothes like that? Tell me your dead clothing story.

You could pick up some at yardsales if you wanted to. I will say, I don't wear many of my clothes. They just hang around. lierally and figuratively..

I have a sentimentality for clothes. My wife had noticed my swimming shorts that it was more than 20 years old. Faded with some holes, I still wear it when we go swimming because I like the feel.

There is something that you have a real fondness for that should be in the trash or the rag bag.

@snowy22315 as I said, I have that sentimental feeling about things. Even my old Parker pen that has no more ink is still in my drawer.

Sometimes it seems like the worse it looks the more comfortable it is

I have a lovely sweater that belonged to my daughter, while in 8th grade. Now she is 44 years old and that sweater is in perfect shape! I'd never part with it, it looks beautiful

If the shoe fits I wear it. Not only that but it gets worn until it is all worn out. I do the same with most of my clothes.
My husband likes to tease me by asking if a garment I am wearing is something I had since high school. I tell him, nope, more like middle school!
I've been out of high school for quite a while. Are you beginning to catch my drift?

Yes, I am...my mother always hated getting rid of clothes, and sis and I follow suit. Sis has things from years ago that I no longer do.
