Stock Up Grocery Shopping On The Cheap

I did not use not even one coupon for this grocery store shopping trip but I still got the bang for my buck. Buy when the price is low. Every now and again I will do a major stock up on can goods and other items, although I do try to home can my foods there are times or vegetable I don`t, or like this year I didn`t have a garden and lived off the home canned foods form the previous years work. First stop was Pic N Save grocery store : 10 bags/ bricks Red Diamond coffee - 1.52 each 3 large cans of chicken breast - 1.33 each 3 packs of bacon - 2.37 each 1 pound of rice - .61 This store adds 10% to total = 29.60 Next Store is Aldi : 12 cans Tomatoes - .45 each 12 cans corn - .49 each 12 cans of green beans - .49 each 6 cans of whole potatoes .49 each 6 cans of carrots - .49 each 2 cans of evaporated milk . 65 each 1 can of mandarin -. 79 1 pound real butter - 2.89 1 box pancake mix - 1.49 1 bag of sliced Almonds - 2.49 1 bag of dried cranberries - 1.29 1 Gatorade - 1.00 1 apple juice - 1.09 2 pudding cups - .79 each. Total : 36.96 Grand total = 66.56 That was my car load of groceries for a major stock up. Now, you maybe thinking of the expiration dates, the coffee is October 2020 and that will be gone long before then! The canned goods all have the year 2021 or 2022 and those will be used way before they expire too. Do you do a good stock up when the prices are low?
