After a week of being away from office because of an out of town official business, this is the sight that welcomed me. I almost shouted at the sight of tons of documents that need to be attended to. I am pretty sure more documents coming in with everyone rushing because of the Christmas holidays.

Those are vouchers that need to be paid immediately such as payments to suppliers for our daily operations.there are also payments for financial assistance for indigent people and a lot more.

Lol it may especially if you find out one department head requesting to send all her staff to a party in the guise of a year end evaluation.

@florelway a party? I would love a junket like that. But not at the expense of other employees.

@Alexandoy yes they would send the agency an invitation to allow employees to attend year-end assessment and evaluation but actually this is also more of a Christmas party. This is ok if the LGU is not cash trapped but in our case we are on austerity program so they must cooperate.

Yes, and those are just priority documents, the others are piled on a stool as the staff cannot squeeze them on the table

@Nakitakona thanks for the.concern, yes you are right, it's a matter of balancing between work and my personal activities. As long as am not put into pressure by people who are not supposed to be involved I am perfectly fine.

Just think of all that work as job security! With so much paperwork to process, your boss surely wouldn't ever want to get rid of you!

Yes, and that's a daily routine. Glued to the seat, reviewing and signing documents, talking to sometimes difficult clients is the order of the day lol.
