Did I get your attention? Well MyLot, I'm still rather tired because last week I had a visit from 7 attractive men who came over in the night. Not even kidding. But more about that later. First off I want to say big thanks to all of the members of the Armed Forces - as today, in the US. it is Veteran's Day - previously known as Armistice day which originally celebrated the end of WWI in 1919. Alright, so now about my hot men. For those of you who didn't read my previous post about the Hope Lodge - I was there last week to stay with my mom during her appointments. In the meantime my very weak dad came with. Couldn't get a stay for him at a respite care. So along he comes with. The first night (of 3) crash boom at about 2 AM. Fell out of bed. It took the fire department to get him up. 3 guys. (all cute, heh heh) The second night of our stay... you're not going to believe this but.... 3AM... crash boom. Fell out of bed again. This time they sent 4 different guys to get him up. So there's my 7 hot guys. Speaking as someone who has been single a long time it would be nice if I could get even 1 to visit me for non-emergency reasons but... yeah, right, whatever.... to be honest I've been single so long I don't even know if I would be a decent partner for anyone. And... don't need the added drama. Plus no one would want to step into the middle of this drama and I don't blame them. Anyway, getting off topic. Mom's visits could have been better to be honest. One of her blood levels is very elevated. Not good. But her scans are clear. So that's a positive. She may need to go back on the chemo. As usual, your thoughts, prayers, well wishes and etc are appreciated Photo: Pixabay

My prayers are with your Mom and Dad. And with you, Maybe next time you can get a date with your "Hot Man"! I remember one of my ambulance trips to the hospital after my seizures. There were three really hot ambulance attendants in the back of the ambulance with me before we took off. I remember them well before we took off...well I remember them too well........I looked up and said clear as a bell..."Gee I lucked out, then sent me three guys with really cute butts!" The hospital decided I needed another quarter morphine. I was too active for the trip and I might seize again !

Lol! I wish I would have asked for one of their numbers. What's the most they could say, no? Oh dear! I had to chuckle a bit at your story, but I am sorry to hear you weren't feeling well with that seizure :/ At least those nice booty men were fun for a bit :-) Sometimes we need to look at the best of a situation

Thanks so much. It's very true. Being a care giver is more challenging than I ever thought. Oh yes, those cute men were nice for a bit of a distraction

I hope your Dad doesn't start falling out of bed at home. Sending prayer and positive vibes.

Ah alas, that's the thing, he does fall a lot at home too. I'm just shocked that the powers that be don't seem to think that there's anything wrong with that. Thanks Judy

@FayeHazel That is too bad you had to bring your Dad with you. I know he is very difficult to deal with. Did you hurt yourself when you fell out of bed? Not fun to fall out of bed but having cute guys help you is nice. You just have not found the right one for you. I am sorry that her visits were not great. I am glad there was something positive that happened with her visit there. I am sorry if she has to go back on chemo. How long would she have to be on it? I will continue to pray for all of you.

@FayeHazel Not surprised that it was your father. Glad it was not you. I hope it goes well. I will continue to pray. Will she be doing it at Hope Lodge?

@Hannihar AH yes, unfortunately he falls a lot at home too. I can't believe that any of the pro's involved with his care do not find this to be a big deal. Our next Hope Lodge stay is in early January

Yeah, it's a pity he had to come with. Oh, it wasn't me who fell, but my dad. (twice) Thanks for your kindness. I think she will start chemo in January. They say how long she's on will depend on how her numbers react - hopefully numbers coming down soon. We appreciate the prayers.

Prayers for you and your Mom and Dad. Those hot fireman I'm sure were a welcome distraction for a trying situation. "Faith and prayers are the vitamins of the soul....may you find the nourishment you need by utilizing them."
