Christmas shopping

For those of us who celebrate Christmas and shop for gifts, it can be a crazy time of year. I made a list sometime in July and promised myself to pick up gifts along the way. And I did manage to find one or two. But now the rush is on. I am still planning to make a few gifts (just waiting for money and supplies). I've also been wandering around online to find gifts that are out of the ordinary for my niece and one of my nephews. My niece has everything she wants and she buys for herself all the time. My nephew keeps to himself a lot and is a vegan. He keeps reminding everyone that he won't eat any meat or wear any leather. And he urges everyone around him to do the same. So that has limited gifts for him. But I've found a few ideas that seem pretty good. Just waiting for my check to come in so I can order a few things and go out and pick up a few things. I have to go to a few stores this time of year to soak up the holiday spirit. Don't get me wrong. Shopping and gifts is not Christmas to me. It's a very small part. My niece and nephew don't go to church anymore, which is so sad since I keep tossing hints that I'd love to go. So glad I can watch Mass on TV. It keeps me true to myself this time of year...and all year long. And it helps keep me in the spirit of giving! Peace Claudia
