what do you think of soap operas?

When I was a teenager I use to be hooked on General Hospital--that was back when "Luke and Laura" first became an item.
However, as I got older I began to see the redundant plots that kept recycling on that show, and a few of the other ones that I watched. I lost interest, and stopped watching.
If by some odd chance they were to bring back the oldie but goodie "Ryan's Hope" I would definitely tune into that one. It had plots you could relate to.
My mother in law watches her soaps religiously, so religiously that one time she argued with me that Luke and Laura were indeed married in real life...LOL.

I can no longer stand Bold and the Beautiful or Days of Our Lives and believe it or not I used to watch them religiously. As for the others like All my Children, etc I have not even bothered to watch one episode.
I can honestly say that for me there is only one good soapie and that is Isidingo (South African production). I wish it could be viewed overseas, people will be pleasantly suprised.
