November 12 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Overall it was a good day today. I got up at my usual time and was in the pool soon after five a.m. The temp when I left for the pool was 10 F with a -5 wind chill. It was cold out there. The moon looked great too. I separated my keys so I could warm up the car before I left. It still wasn't very warm after twenty minutes.
It was good in the pool. The cold and bad weather tends to bring people out early. We had nine people in the pool by 5:15 a.m. and eleven before six. With everyone there, I was surprised to get a good workout.
Shortly after I got home, I had a necessary nap. I am very thankful for that nap. It renewed my energy.
Afterward, I spent most of the day here. My sister called to make arrangements for getting to the funeral on Thursday. I'll be spending the night. I'm very thankful for that.
Today was also my doctor's appointment with my Gastroenterologist. He asked a lot of questions, and then told me I didn't need to come back for another year. Everything is going fine. We talked about whether this disease would ever go away. He simply said, unlikely and I will be getting another colonoscopy in two years to evaluate it. At least I'm waiting two years before I drink that nasty stuff again.
I finished all the notifications for November 6th. Tomorrow I will work on the 7th and maybe the 8th since I won't have much time on Thursday.
My total word count for Fashion Thread is 34,704. I didn't put in a lot of words today as it was late, but the action is high. When I think it's one way, something happens and turns it 180 degrees. Which is where it's at right now. It will be interesting to see where this thread takes me.
It was a good day with a minor hiccup that I'm not going to worry about. I have a lot to be thankful for.
I nearly forgot. I accidentally called my granddaughter when I was clearing out the contact list of people I don't see or talk to. I had a wonderful conversation with her, my great-granddaughter, and my daughter who made it to Texas without any problem. She said it was cold there, 48 F. I guess she won't be putting her winter jacket away very soon.
And now the clock on the computer says I need to get to bed so I can be up for the pool early tomorrow morning. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The picture is mine.

My pleasure to read what we all should be thankful for our blessings in life. My meeting with the cardiologist was great since my health is improving thanks to taking her advice to do more exercise like walking.

brrr 'n yuck. i confess to dislikin' the cold, not a fan 'f bein' out'n darkness either. glad ya got'cher workout, despite the slew 'f folks there.
i'm glad ya called her, e'en if'n by oops. perhaps more 'ffort'll be made by all parties to continue such'n the future. 't can get purty chilly where she's't. e'en 't times some big snows, though such's not oft.
brilliant news from yer doc, hon. they claim there'd be no cure fer these gut auto-immune thingies, but i'm still'n the mindset that proper nutrition 'n stress 'voidance truly helps.
thankful fer the sunshine 'n my sweet momma.

Today was good at the pool. One per lane.
Yes, I guess I'll need to reach out and call more often. I always wait for someone to call me. That's why my phone is so silent.
I agree with you. Proper nutrition should solve all of the world's ailments. Sadly it doesn't.

Gastro is about the intestines. I have not experienced colonoscopy and I'm praying I wouldn't need it.

I must admit that I'm not ready for 10 F with a -5 wind chill yet. So far the icy weather hasn't hit in my part of Pennsylvania.

How about today? We're actually five degrees warmer when I went to the pool with a positive wind chill of 2 degrees. I only regret not wearing my hoodie under my jacket as I did yesterday, or my boots. It was chilly. It's snowing now.
