Bliss.

What brings you the most bliss on an average day? Some (psychologists) say it's the "little things" that make us happy.
This picture (blurry, I admit) shows my 1971 Kenwood 5150 stereo receiver, with two Snell K/II loudspeakers just to the left.
For whatever reason, this is the system in my house that best pulls in a classical/jazz NPR station from Sacramento CA.
In the evenings, they play jazz music, and I listen in. To the right of my "bedroom system" is my Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner, another of my greatest sources of joy.
What are your greatest sources of joy on a daily (or almost daily) basis?

Gosh. I am just a shallow, lowlife. I just like it when my investments produce. Makes me smile very much. Money makes my world go round, and the more of it, the merrier. Everything else is a waste of time. Because money lets me have whatever I want.

@TheHorse Nah. Not any time soon. There are no indicators. Not now. I mean, eventually it will. But not now. You cannot have record GDP growth, record labor participation rates, record consumer confidence, the first increases in median income in years, record low unemployment across all boards and think....we can't enjoy this for at least a good amount of time. When it comes to what's in investments and what's in cash, though, right now for me, it's all about a good balance. If I see something coming I will let you know. But right now this economy is not going anywhere but up. I should note that what is happening is far removed from being a house of cards. There are real catalysts driving this economy. Not fake stuff like Obama did with quantitative easing to drive the markets up and hold the economy at bay.
Sorry to bring politics in. I know you were not going there. But they kind of had to be to illustrate WHY this is not a house of cards, this economy is real, and it's not going away any time soon.

@TheHorse I have an altec lansing. I loved the sound but it is broken now. All I have is built in smartphone and laptop speakers. They dont do the music justice.

When my Danie jumps into my lap, gives me kisses, and stares at me with loving eyes. That's my daily dose of happiness.

I like connecting with my friends on MyLot and Facebook. Having my husband around brings me the greatest joy.

Money gives me bliss! Just kidding. My family is the my greatest source of joy. Besides that, my teaching profession makes me happy, as well as travelling. Being able to explore the world is the greatest bliss.

@Alison19 I've become "friends" with the older brother of one of my most darling preschool kids. Her mom and my co-teacher and around and talk (in Spanish, so I can't understand most of what they're saying), and the boy (who is about eight) loves to show off his math abilities to me. I'm thinking of doing a "math challenge" with him, where we make up math problems for each other and then "grade" them. That's a part of my "routine" with older kids. I've been doing it with Horse Jr. since he was four.

Not sure I have any bliss at this moment. It is the end of the day. I was really moved when an autistic kiddo who is basically non verbal worried because I coughed and he put his arm around me and gave me a hug.

Watching The A-Team, eating a good meal, listening to Daughtry and 3 Doors Down on CD, reading a good book or Doctor Who Magazine. Stuff like that.
