sublime, are they indie? maybe not?

first time i heard there song really catch my attention... there song is feels like smooth. added to that i feel its a bit groovy. i find few people here in the philippines listenign to them.
anyway, are they indie or not cause i also find it hard to grab a copy of their album.

indipendent band. i just thought that they maybe an indipendent band because i find there music bit unique from all the mainstream band.

yeh i know. i just find their song hard to identify which genre they are... and i thouhgt they produced independently due to ther albums out of circulation as you said. anyways thnks for the comment ive just got a copy of their album.

LOL they are definately not "INDIE" the indie genre, albeit a bit ambiguous, emerged much after sublime was no longer a band.
Sublime can be better classified as
-ska
-garage-punk
