My family joined a weekend fun run which started very very early morning (in fact, we assembled around 4am) . It was actually considered a wee hours to some, but those hours are magical! Spectrums of lights began to show up amidst the green ricefield and warm greetings from the farmers. Of course, the rising sun and its Creator made it all happen.
Few things I love in provincial living are the nature, cool climate, and simple people.

Hi Mrs. U! I’ve never tried joining fun runs. How many kilometers?

@MrsUinSMM you’re right! Your husband has a strong stamina. 16k is the longest? How many hours will it take to finish 16k?

For this one, it had 2 types. My hubby was into 16K; me and my boy tried the 8K. Since my kid kept lagging behind, so we opted to jog and walk and took pictures. Let the professional running to his dad.

@mlgen1037, it depends on your pace or how fast you run. It also depends on the fun run organizers how they allot time for each race type. For this, hubby ran his 16K for more or less 2.5 hours.

Yup, past 5 am. While some of the common folks are still nestling in bed, these farmers are already at their busiest time harvesting crops. Because if later than that, it will be scorching hot for them already by 8 am.

I just notice the fog now that you mention. Well, it seems it starts at one level going up. You can see that there's foggy part in the silhouette of trees at the backdrop.
And yeah, I agree, live full in simplicity!

@MrsUinSMM Most people go out to work around 6:30 am here, so the most common waking time is from 5:30 am. My husband and I are retired, we get out of our bed at 6 in the morning.

Cold and dark and comfy to go back to sleep, @LadyDuck. Yeah, I agree with you. But for people who are into a fun run, it is an appropriate time to assemble runners as streets were remote from traffic.
What's the waking or busy time in your place?

@LadyDuck, we, too. Hubby and I sort of agreed to semi-retire from the 8-5 office jobs and hie off to the province for simple living. We usually wake up at 5:30 am or earlier to jog or to do early farm errands. From yuppies to farmers, we are.

You're very welcome. I am glad that there are few here that appreciate simple living. I hope you find my post refreshing!

Thanks! We just assembled around 4 am and we started our fun run a few minutes after. I'm with my little boy. Thus, I can not do much of the running but more of taking pictures, haha!

Thanks! Isn't it in the photography world, sunrise and sunset are considered magical hours?

Yeah, living in the busy city for many decades, the outskirts became our de-stressing haven.
