Foggy Morning Thoughts

It's a foggy morning, figgier than yesterday. As usual, I see some neighbors going to to the mosgue for their morning prayer. I meet a young man, who walked behind me playing music on his mobile phone, which disturbed my recollection. I walked faster to make the distance between us longer. It five minutes I was far enough from him. I started my prayer but couldn't get the rhythm back. Bless the boy. He has probably come from another state to earn some money by stitching quilts. He must be home sick or if he has a family back there he must be worried about his wife or children. He wakes up early. He doesn't sleep well. I find him making phone calls even at 5 in the morning. Migrant workers are found all over India. They face serious problems and sometimes even get killed. Do you see migrant workers around you?

I understand it well. I was in Nepal for eight years or so as a teacher.

We don't have the problem here really - at least not so much. It is difficult to get into Australia in the first place so most have jobs lined up before they come.

@franxav Certainly there are but hopefully not too many are homeless.

@franxav but I guess they have no other option left.

Yes. There's actually a lot here in the Philippines but most of them have a white-collar job. Some have been assigned to relocate here for 2-3 years until the project gets done.
