Our photos will be on a calendar

I missed posting yesterday. I had nothing to say which is unusual for me. 
As many of you know, we take photos at horse endurance rides. We are usually some of the first to arrive at a venue and we help set up as much as we can. Next year, the national major ride will be held in Western Australia and we’ll be taking photos of it. As a promotional stunt, the association is going to print a calendar and wants to exclusively use our photos. So that is a bit of a buzz. Vince is now very busy picking out a selection of photos to offer them. We won’t charge for the photos as it won’t be costing us anything and it’s good PR (public relations).
And another email has just arrived. It seems they’ve already picked out the photos they’d like. But that’s okay too. Saves us a lot of hassle trying to find 12 photos out of hundreds.
We’re also planning a family celebration in the next fortnight but I’ll write about that later.

that is amazing news! I have 12 pictures I call (study of a lens cap) from when I first started taking pictures. but no one ever wanted to print it, let alone publish it!

You are right. Even with no charge for the photos, it is an honor for some photos to be used in a calendar. I just hope that you will be given credit for that.
