Winter is getting into my skin. I hate it when everything I used from the drugstore and shop like lotion and cream are not doing good for my skin. My skin is sensitive lately with products having perfume in it. I have tried many skin care but the outcome is still unsatisfactory to me. This evening I made coconut oil out of 2 canned coconut milk. It only took almost an hour until I was done. As you can see in my photo, that is the coconut oil I have made. No preservative and no perfume including. I am now doing what my late grandma and late mother was doing. Making coconut oil for my skin. Having a sensitive skin is not really good living in a country with winter season. I don't have this problem when I am in the Philippines and when it is summer here. Well, I have to do what my skin want. Have you tried making coconut oil yourself? I also use this coconut oil for facial and body scrub with honey in it. So, it doesn't really smell so coconut.

@thelme55 My mom is very allergic to coconut. Thankfully not lethally, but she has issues breathing when she eats anything coconut or uses anything with coconut in it.

That sounds good @CarolDM. I use coconut oil to condition my hair while I take a shower. Leave it for a few minutes and rinse it well. My hair becomes glossy.

No, not so strong @MALUSE. I don´t put a preservative in it. I just make what I need. For the 2 cans of coconut milk, I have made 125 grams of oil. It will be good for 2 to 3 weeks for me. Just put it in the dark cold place.

I really need to do a scrub or something to calm down my gross dry skin on my face. I have no idea if coconut oil would be good since I also have an oily face.

I make VIrgin Coconut Oil. I do not go for the traditional way of making coconut oil which is by heating and boiling coconut milk until the oil is extracted.
